August 2014 Part 4

Thursday August 29, 2014

More sightseeing I've done in Switzerland...

One day I had to go pick up a battery for my laptop, and so instead of paying 20 francs shipping, I spent 25 francs on transportation the whole day, and went to visit Zurich instead.

And there is a lot of pictures, so I'm going to send you to here to see them:
I did a boat tour on the Zurich See and a 2h walk on the Uetliberg, the Plantenweg, it was a scale model of the Solar system. I then only had 1 hour to actually see Zurich, and I only saw like a tiny tiny bit... gotta go back!

Last Sunday with the couple I live with we went for a walk beside the Rhein.

We went to see the Rhein crossing with the Thur and the Rhein was going really faster then the Thur, so it was a cool contrast!

And ya, now its now, and I'm sick... yay! I've been doing lots of salt water gurgling (yuck) and Mebucaine sucking (yum).
Tonight I'm going to a church weekend, so it should be fun!

And last thing: I'm officially Swiss right now!

Now I live in Wiesendangen, and I take German courses in Frauenfelds with KlubMigros. My class has only 5 students, and almost all are in the 30-40 range and so I think we learn lots.

KlubMigros student area thing...
I also take the train to get there all the time- I got a pass for the month, and so I see this everyday:
It's really a small, tiny train station.

This is the view from my room. Note though that those mountains appear only on really clear days, so I only saw them this day.
One day I also went swimming with the lady I live with, and she taught me how to do front crawl.
I also saw Winterthur from high up on hills, from both sides, and got a little geography course of the region.

And I'm really happy here!

Now in Germany I got back to work:

Laundry

One week I went to milk the cows with the employee, the dad was getting operated:

Then this girl:

Well she discovered my good camera, and started taking artistic photos:

And then one weekend I went to visit some cousins who were at their grandma's but I didn't take a lot of pictures (only selfies)... We went shopping though!

Then my mom found me another place to stay, and so the last days I worked pretty hard. I went to say bye to some friends, and we went to get ice cream:

Mine- Hazelnut Becher
Then my friends had:
Lasagna Icecream

And some very fruity plate.

Then I left, and got out at the wrong place in Frankfurt, but oh well, now I know eh? So I was late coming to Switzerland...

Frankfurt am Main- it's a love/hate relationship with this one.

And now on to Switzerland... things get a little more exciting!

August 2014 Part 1

Friday August 29, 2014

So... Lots has changed since July! I thought then I'd still be in Germany right now, but now I'm in Switzerland...
Let's start from where I left off:
For my birthday I came back to Switzerland and celebrated with my family, it was lots of fun!
First we went to France to see a farm- it was really nice and big, and now we are still waiting on the price and more information.

Then it was my Bday!

Celebrating our home country- we sang the beautiful national anthem- O Canada!

Then there was a lot of people:

Lots of fun!

And Adri came!!!
With my fave aunt Mireille!
And Jacob was there too- a wonderful reunion, a wonderful 20th bday party!

Then the next day we wanted to show Adri the Cailler factory, but it was way to long of a wait, so we went to see Gruyeres:

Then we went to see a scam of a farm in Valais. The view was BEAUTIFUL, but the farm was horrible.

Then I left to go back to Germany...
Miss this little beauty:

And then in Frankfurt the train was late, so I was late to Lang gons, so this was my face, I admit that I cried a bit...

And this is getting long, so I'm gonna break this up!
