Les 5 phobies les plus absurdes

Monday, July14, 2014

Je sais que chaque fois que le Canada me manquera, plus specifiquement les Quebecois, j'aurais toujours de quoi a regarder pour me consoler un petit peu... Y'est toujours trop drole et me fais rire meme si je ne veux pas... La phobie des canards it is...eh?

En tout cas, lass uns zuruck zu Englisch...

My weekend was good- Deutschland won the World Cup!! The game was quiet long, in the end I was falling asleep, but it was all worth it! Ich glaube, that from now on, its my favourite team!

I also got invited on Sunday to a friend's house, so that was really nice! It's really nice to have friends around my age that I can talk too. Even if I don't speak perfect German, neither understand it quite well, ich glaube its necessary to have some friendly presence so that I don't go deprived!
I also went back to school, today, and tomorrow as well, so I must wake up early... Although today school started only at 9:40 or so, because of the World Master game. That is pretty cool having later school- never happened in Canada, that's for sure!
But tomorrow it starts at 7:45 or so again, so I must go to bed!
Also, Tschuss!

Learning by Doing

Thursday July 10, 2014

On Wednesday, when I was at the barn I pinched my finger, and this is the result! A wonderful example of "Learning by Doing"... In this place, every time I do something not in the best way, I am "Learning by Doing"... hahaha
Also I got it cut open a bit, and most of the blood out, and now it is healing. The most impressive thing is that it looks like it hurts more then it actually did. The best thing is that I got to miss out on milking for one night!

And #TBT to the time I took selfies in my room in Canada... I sort of miss it right now...

And I am still not sure I 100% completely realize I will never go back in "my" room... It's just so wierd...
But then I gotta move on- I am soon 20 (yay!) !
Today I also Facetimed with my brother- he's growing out his beard- he looks like a lumberjack or something, but its big! But it was nice to have that time with him, since I know later on I won't be able too, because of the lack of Internet where he will be! My little sister was there auch and kept on asking if she could see "my friend" that I now live with... lol. I think she'll have to wait till she comes to visit- I can't wait for that!
Jetzt ich muss gehen, ich muss meine Deutsche Kurz machen!
Also, Tschuss!

July 7, 2014 and the weekend

Monday June 7, 2014

Also, this is my first blog post!
I don't know what I'll be saying, but I guess I might as well share what happens during my days!

Today was my first day of this week of milking, all week I must go to the barn and help Siggi milk. Karl is gone all week and so I was lovingly asked to help out. Although it's actually not to bad to be going to the barn, it gets me a little out of the house. Being in the house too long leads to frustration over time. And I'm not much of a kid person, neither an animal person, but then cows won't get mad at me for not being super nice with them!

This weekend was awesome! On Friday we went to the Oschenfest in Wetzlar- that wasn't as fun. The kids and this girl who was here were expecting me to show a calf with them. But then I didn't- I sort of handed the calf off to some random guy... So I think for the rest of the day they were sort of pissed off at me... I'm not too sure, but anyways, I wasn't "allowed" to leave from the animal part in the morning, so I was super bored. But then in the afternoon I was more free and went to see all the stuff they had for sale, and talked to random travel agents.

Then in the night, it was awesome, I went to see Deutschland vs. Frankreich (France) FIFA game, and Deutschland won!! I was with a whole bunch of young people from the youth group of the Giessen assembly. It was just so awesome to be part of the football experience, with all the cheering, the "Danke Schon, Bitte Schon" cheer, and just the ambiance was great. I talked with some of the girls who were all really nice. This one girl talks super well so I understand her German really well!
A month ago I went to Giessen to visit with this lady, and she saw a random "tramper" hitchhiker, and she picked him up. And then he was there on Friday night as well! He goes to the church in Giessen, but it's really funny how we first met! It took me quite some time to figure out where I had seem him!
On Saturday I had time to myself, and went to Phillip's kindergarten end of year party, and made a stone necklace! And because the family has a stand at the Ochsen fest, we went again for a while.
Sunday, I went for the first time to church in Giessen, and it's so much more like the church back at home, so it felt really nice to be back in a familiar setting! The people are really nice as well! Every beginning of month they have a potluck, and that was one of those Sundays. The varied food was sooo good! And there was this wierd banana/apple/crumble/sauce thing that was super good. I ate too much... Then with Daniel, who brought me to church, we went back to the Ochsenfest, for like 1/2 hour, to go on the big Wheel. Then we went to his sister's, who has married a French guy. And we ate more food- wursts, chicken, bacon, salads... I ate way too much again! But it's all so good, so I must enjoy while I can. The highlight was the Rose, it had been so long I hadn't had a sip of good wine!
When I got back to Reiskirchen, we ate ice cream... Needless to say I wasn't hungry that night!
And the day was really hot, and I was in a long skirt all day...
And then today was cool enough that I wore jeans all day- the weather here is bizarre...
Jetzt ich muss gehen, ich muss meine Deutsche Kurz machen! Also, Tschuss!
